The beauty of the rectangle state in the middle of the map with the chewed right-hand corner…
It took me going to CO to really notice the beauty of KS…
Quiet, simple, soulful. A soft, yet powerful whisper to take notice…

I feel the same way Laurie. Kentucky is all rolling hills, green, green grass and endless trees. You get very few unobscured vistas where you can see the ground touch the horizon. Every time we return to Kansas and drive out to Abilene to visit my parents we are struck again by the quiet drama of the wide open spaces. You can see entire storm fronts rolling in ahead of you, miles and miles of roadway in the distance. It's completely different from where we live now and has a quiet beauty and grace all it's own.

Thank you, Sherry. It's nice to hear that someone who isn't FROM KS shares the same sentiment!
