  1. As usual Laurie all your comments ring true with me. We wisely stopped at two children, as my husband pointed out, "we don't want to be outnumbered." Our girls played competitive sports all the way through college and the amount of things we had to carry seemed to be right at our absolute limit. Somehow, we always made it. I was always comparing myself to a pack mule and my purse was always the communal saddle bag, full of all the items they wanted to bring but didn't want to carry themselves. I am one step beyond you though with our one year old grandson. We have returned to carrying all those baby things and a recent solo trip to the doctor's office with Asher reminded me how tricky that used to be. I managed pretty well though and now that he's walking it's already getting easier again. It all goes so fast and the second time around you appreciate that and savor each moment even more. My purse however, is still the dumping ground for my husband and I guess it always will be, 40 year habits are hard to break. Thanks for sharing another lovely post and get that shoulder warmed up, you will be schlepping baby stuff again before you know it!! You will also be begging to be the one that carries the baby! Ha ha.
